2nd disappointing experience; quality, cleanliness, overall
10 wks ago I ate at LaMadeleine, IH-10, San Antonio and noticed significant difference in overall operation - employees wandering around food area; person taking order actually filled my order (after working with her tablet); tomato basil soup did NOT taste like it always had before & even the caesar salad dressing tasted very strange. I had to ask for the stale package of bread.
I was in a hurry so I ate and left. Fast forward to Jan 30, 2023: tomato basil soup tasted very much like soap and definitely not original recipe; again, caesar salad was small & dressing was not the one from the past.
While eating, an observation of the environment wreaked of lack of maintenance.
I previously worked near this location and ate lunch there 2-3 days per week, often going on weekends because it was good.
NO LONGER the same quality, taste, or employee organization. If you own this franchise, you need to pay attention.

Server mix my good with other customers and gave Pok by my RELIGIOUS BELIEFS NO PORK OR WINE IN THE FOOD .. ALL THIS HAPPENED AT KINGSTON ALEXANDRIA, VA LOCATION, SHE ( MS.
SERENA... ) AND MANAGER WEEE BLAIMING THE CHEF AND THE CASHIER, WHICH BOTH DID / TOOK MY ORDERS RIGHT .. WHEN THE SERVER, MS SERENA CAME BROUGHT 1 OMELET, AND MY HUSBAND AND I ASK WHERE IS THE REST OF THE FOOD.. SGE SAID IS ONLY ONE ..
WE TOLD HER NO, WE PAY CLOSE TO $40 $50 DOLLARS FIR THE FOOD , AND SHE STARTED ARGUING WITH US , WE SHOW HER THE RECEIPTS.. I WENT AND TOLD THEM BECAUSE OF MY RELIGIOUS BELIEFS , WE CAN'T EAT PORK OR WINE... MANAGER STARTED BLAINMING THE CHEF.. WHICH WAS THE LADY WHO MIXED BOTH FOOD , ONE OMELET WITH SPANISH, GREEN ONIONS, AND MUSHROOMS- WHICH WAS MINE, WITH ANOTHER ONE SAME INGREDIENTS BUT WITH HAM...
SHE WAS UPSET, WHEN WE TOLD HER .. AND WITH AN ATTITUDE... MY HUSBAND WILL SPEAK WITH HIS LAWYER IN REG.
THIS SINCE THEY WERE HAVING AN ATTITUDE WITH US FOR MAKING A MISTAKE.. AND NOT APOLOGIZING TO US..
I NEED TO KNOW WHAT THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS GOING TO DO BEFORE GOES FURTHER

Ordered strawberry salad with the cafe sampler / showed the people their sign 3 times, before they realized it is offered with the cafe sampler. I ordered strawberry salad & received Cesar salad.

Went to eat Breakfast and brunch with my roommate and I thought everything was good until the food arrived and after almost done the lady cashier came by to say are you gonna pay your bill? I said excuse me .she looked at me with a fraun on her face like mad .I was totally off guard thinking about how embarrassing it was.plus .why would she even accuse us .didn't make sense.and I thought about it even after showing the recite.she keep apologizing and offering a drink really .so I got up and approach the manegar and he was very sorry she did that..I think after deciding on it .even tho the manger apologized and offered meals and desserts.he did a great job but I think after that she needs to be terminated period .I am usually not like that but thinking about it this will teach other employees to make sure with other employees before of accusations falsely. I will go back to eat but this is unexpectedly bad.

Have received neither a phone call, a text, or an email from La Madeleine regarding my complaint. It’s as though the restaurant just shrugged its shoulders and said “So what!”
